THE DESIGN MUSEUM BRUSSELS’ PAPER CHATTERBOX
What if the museum experience could continue at home? With our paper chatterbox, available to download or pick up at the museum, you can extend your visit wherever you are.
Unlike any ordinary chatterbox, this one is filled with questions, challenges and games that invite you to explore the collections and exhibitions in a playful way, and connect with one another along the way! It is a fun and original way to spark conversations, take a closer look at the objects in the collections, and discover the world of design together. Easy to make yourself, it encourages curiosity, creativity and shared play for the whole family.
MARMAILLE&CO’S FUN ACTIVITY BAGS
Marmaille&Co and the Design Museum Brussels invite you to explore the museum in a new way and make culture accessible to visitors of all ages with these fun activity bags!
Each bag includes three trails and games designed for families to play, explore and learn together:
- “It’s up to you”: set off to explore the museum and its collections from every angle, using a magnifying glass, a kaleidoscope or even coloured glasses!
- “Tell me some stories” : let your imagination run wild as you create fantastic stories, guided by the dice and inspired by the objects around you.
- “Guessing game” : challenge your family to guess different objects from the Plastic Design Collection while completing fun tasks, such as singing, miming or drawing.
Practical information: The bags are available free of charge on request at the museum reception desk. They are primarily intended for children aged 6 to 12, but are designed to be enjoyed by the whole family.

YOUR BIRTHDAY AT THE MUSEUM
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday | 6-12 years old
Is it your birthday soon? Come celebrate it at the museum with your friends! Invite them along and spend an unforgettable afternoon together! Alongside a guide, discover our permanent exhibition the Plastic Design Collection in a fun and creative way, as well as hundreds of colourful and whimsically shaped objects. Then, step into the shoes of a designer and roll up your sleeves for a creative workshop full of fun! After the workshop you can eat your cake and open your presents!
You will not only leave the museum with great memories, but also with your own creation.
Practical information
- Maximum 15 children + 1 accompanying parent
- Length: 3 hours
- Price: €250
- The price includes: entry to the museum, the visit and the workshop, the birthday room, tableware, water and syrup.
- The price does not include the cake, the candles and the presents (these should be provided by you)
Terms and conditions
- Booking and payment are required at least 3 weeks before the birthday party (Ref.: the child’s name + date of the birthday).
- The activity can be cancelled up to 10 days before the date of the birthday without any additional costs. After this deadline, no refund will be possible, except upon presentation of a medical certificate.
