The museum invites you to discover the exhibition Brussels Queer Graphics through the eyes of Marian Lens.

Marian Lens (1959°) is a sociologist who has been active in the lesbian, feminist and LGBTQIA+ movements since the late 1970s. She was involved in the early days of the radical lesbian magazine Le Féminaire/Les Lesbianaires (1980-1982). In 1985, she founded and managed the first openly lesbian bookshop and non-profit organization in Belgium, Artemys (1985-2002). Co-founder of the RainbowHouse (2001-2002), she was also actively involved in launching the Brussels committee of the Rainbow Ambassadors, an association for and by LGBTQI+ seniors. Since 2013, she has been organizing historical tours of Brussels in the footsteps of the LGBTQIA+ communities via L-Tour.

She also regularly publishes research and analysis articles on LGBTQIA+ history, as well as on the construction of sex, gender and heterosexuality as systemic societal norms and constructs.
