As part of the Through the eyes of program, external personalities offer their personal views on the exhibitions of the Design Museum Brussels. A unique customized visit where the choice of theme and approach is left to the speakers. Be inspired and guided by exceptional people who will help you see the exhibitions through a different lens.
For the first edition, the museum invites you to discover the exhibition Brussels Queer Graphics through the eyes of Chille Deman.
Chille Deman (1948), former social worker and housing coordinator, is an activist for the rights of LGBTQIA+ communities and co-founder of Pride in Brussels. He was president of Belgian Lesbian and Gay Pride (1995-1999 and 2009-2016) where he also served as secretary and treasurer (2000-2008).
Since 2018, he has been involved with the association RainbowFriends, an initiative that supports associations in countries where organizing a Pride is difficult or impossible. He is also part of the Rainbow Ambassadors, a group that gives voice and visibility to LGBTQIA+ seniors.
