THREE-PART COURSE: SHAPE YOUR ARCHIVE!

27.11.2025, 04.12.2025 & 11.12.2025

Are you an architect, designer, urban planner, or construction company looking to get started with your archive? Are you searching for methods to manage your information efficiently? On Thursday afternoons — November 27, December 4, and December 11, 2025 — the VAi Knowledge Centre is organizing a three-part course on archive and information management.

About the course

This three-part course begins with an introduction to archive and information management, followed by two focus sessions on managing analog and digital archives. The emphasis is on managing organizational and project archives, not (materials) libraries. During the workshop sessions, you will work with your own archive and information, allowing you to identify a number of priority actions to take afterward.

It is recommended to attend all three parts of the course. Do you only manage analog or only digital archives? Then be sure to attend the introductory session on November 27, followed by the session of your choice on December 4 (analog) or December 11 (digital). Register via the online form

Programme:

  • Course Part 1: Thursday afternoon, November 27, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM – Introduction to archive and information management
  • Course Part 2: Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM – Analog archive management
  • Course Part 3: Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM – Digital archive management

Who is it for?

This course is intended for architects, designers, urban planners, or construction companies who want to actively work on their archive and information. Individuals or organisations managing legacies are also welcome. Are you a student, intern, or running a young design practice that hasn’t yet produced much archival material? This course offers a proactive opportunity to develop a future vision.

The course is part of a traveling course across different provinces. You do not need to be based in Brussels — participants from other provinces are also welcome.
