Design Museum Brussels once again invites you to Cine Design, its unmissable summer rendezvous between design and cinema. Each summer, with the Heysel plateau and the Atomium as backdrops, the museum’s garden is transformed into an open-air screening space, hosting three convivial evenings. The documentaries screened echo the museum’s programming or offer a new perspective on design, its history and its major figures. Hungry or thirsty during the screening? Don’t panic! This edition echoes our project Skateboard with a rich programme centered around two documentaries by Dries Vanherwegen: Skate Spectrum, which explores the link between autism and skateboarding, followed by Finding Skateboarding, which follows Nora, a teenager who questions society through skateboarding. In August, an evening will be dedicated to a curated selection of iconic Belgian full-length videos from different generations. We conclude this cycle of 2025 with Philippe Petit’s Danger Dave, which follows the exploits of David Marteleur, a professional Belgian skateboarder, as he goes around the world in 80 kickflips.
