Architect, designer, urban planner and photographer, Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) lived through the 20th and created for over 70 years. She played a leading role in the history of European and Japanese design and in architecture. A founding member of the Union des artistes modernes (UAM) in 1929, she is one of the great figures of the modern avant-garde and the first woman to create a leisure city, Les Arcs (France), for 30.000 people, directing the entire project, from urban planning to architecture and design.
