PLAY THE GAME

14.09.2018 > 27.01.2019

In collaboration with Kartell Museo (Milan,Italy).

The exhibition Play The Game tells the story of Kartell objects designed for kids through a selection of items whose innovation makes them significant. These include: several household items from the ’50s (the first plastic products to appear in Italian homes); the world's first chair in polyethylene designed by Marco Zanuso; the pint-sized version of the Louis ghost chair by Philippe Starck and the transparent rocking horse by Japanese designer Nendo.

The exhibition space proposes two different pathways: one for adults and another for children, forming parallel and complementary routes. The way in which exhibits are displayed in the two pathways reflects the different cognitive abilities of the users, as different means are employed to convey the same concepts of design and innovation through the story of the design, the plastic materials and the industrial production. Adult users can enjoy a descriptive and critical exhibition that provides historical and technical information on the exhibits and the various themes covered; children, meanwhile, are enticed to go on a journey of exploration, physically discovering the objects and the design values they represent.
